About the event

Catbird Jubilee is an acoustic duo featuring Rennie Chapman on guitar and harmonica and Sherrill Farkas on fiddle. Three years ago, a mutual friend noticed their similar musical styles and love of singing in harmony and introduced them, and they now delight in performing an eclectic mix of folk, blues, swing tunes, country, oldies, and whatever else tickles their fancy (see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MbopZ83xFq4).


Rennie Chapman grew up making music with his multi-talented family in the living room - singing and playing piano, guitar, harmonica, drums, and autoharp. After graduation he hitchhiked to Alaska, living there and performing at clubs, restaurants and festivals, and recording a vinyl album of his original Alaskan folk songs. In 1983 Rennie traveled around the world with his wife, doing shows in Europe, Australia, and Asia along the way, and since then has appeared over the years in many local venues, both solo and most recently with…
