About the event
A superb individual instrumentalist, Peter Anthony has also composed and presented sound scores extensively for theater, film, and dance, most notably at the Merce Cunningham Studios (New York City); The Fringe Festival (San Francisco); Paris, France; and Pria, Cape Verde, Africa. An alum of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, he cites Ahmad Jamaal, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Bill Evans, and Josef Albers as primary influences for his harmonically rich piano explorations. Through performance, his shows strive for the collaborative, elevated experience of living-through-listening along with the audience that only the perfectly human gift of the arts can provide. He hopes you enjoy the performance (see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-j5NiwkKIrA&t=153s)
