About the event
Formerly from Nashville TN, Steven Harz is a Connecticut-based singer-songwriter primarily focused on the indie folk and Americana genres (Steve refers to his music as 'Americana Soul'). An award-winning poet, he has now taken his writing skills and put his words to music. Influenced by Townes Van Zandt, John Prine, Gabe Lee, Madi Diaz, Gram Parsons, and Phoebe Bridgers, Steve's lyrics are tinted with melancholy and tinged with the blues. Common elements in his songs are love and loss, hope and heartache, and God and ghosts. Currently Steve plays throughout southern New England, and while in Tennessee was a perennial participant in the Tennessee Songwriter Festival and had the honor of opening for Grammy-nominated, ACM and CMA award-winning singer-songwriter Eric Paslay.
