Zahnii Artis and Barbara Brouard Harvey

Zahni Artis is a singer/guitarist locally known for her eclectic, acoustic collection of old-time and contemporary folk songs as well as familiar pop tunes that she encourages her audience to sing along with. Zahnii’s voice is both earthy and passionate. And to date, she has also written more than a dozen songs, mostly about aspects of her own life.  In addition to performing solo and songwriting, she regularly performs as part of the Southcentral Connecticut Trio “The Birdwatchers.”  

Barbara Brouard Harvey, inspired by the folk scene of the ’60s and early ’70s, has enjoyed playing guitar and singing since she was a teenager. She combines smooth vocals with deft guitar work as she covers a full range of folk music and popular songs. Barbara also performs regularly in the area as a solo act and as part of other area duos and bands, including “The Birdwatchers.”
